Different Strokes for Different Folks(Review From Amazon) | General Comments: I bought this product because the XBOX 360 is prone to over heating. I have a launch console and I personally feel it is my duty to protect my investment if I can. After buying it I had heard rumors of the intercooler sucking life out of the 360 and causing hardware failure. Whether this is true or not I have yet to see.
I have had this intercooler since around the time I bought my 360 and it has yet to fail or give me an error. It could be coincidence though, but I have a feeling it is because of this item that my XBOX 360 is still in good working order.
That is however without saying that I have had the Red Ring of Death come up, but not twice in a row. That may have been caused by the cooler itself. Since having my 360 I have had a hardware failure 3 times and not one of them contributed to the death of an XBOX360 in my house.
My XBOX 360 still runs and will hopefully for a very long time.
The cons to this item are that it is loud. When I turn on my 360 it sounds like I have started some industrial fan or that my XBOX may take off at any moment. The other thing is that it will enable you to recharge your controller while your 360 is powered off.
All in all I have not experienced anything horrible. I keep my XBOX360 in a well vented area of the house where it can breathe. |

Do Not Buy!!!(Review From Amazon) | General Comments: I bought this hoping to increase the lifespan on my 360. I hoped that cooling the 360 would be better for it in the long run. Unfortunately, I might have done the opposite. A red ring blinks around the power button every time I tried to turn it on, and it turns out the culprit was the burned Nyko Intercooler. Seriously. There were scorch marks along the inside of the power input. This thing is a fire hazard. Please do not buy it! |
