Excellent Buy for Metroid & FPS Lovers(Review From Amazon) | General Comments: When I first heard about this game during development, I was hesitant. I wondered if using the new controllers would get in the way. In the end, it took some playing, but I think I've got it down.
Nintendo has taken interactivity to a whole new level. You no longer have to just shoot doors to get to the next room. There's new locks to unravel and can use hand motions to unlock the locks (as seen even in the beginning "intro" part of the game).
They've also taken the grappling hook to a whole new level. I won't say what because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who's not played the game, but it plays into the above.
The bosses, while not necessarily really difficult, did make you think about what you were doing. If they aren't challening enough, the game comes with more than 1 difficulty level.
One of my favorite parts is the hyper mode. It certainly does allow you to do a lot of damage over a short amount of time, but be careful!!! It's also very easy to use up all of your energy tanks as a result. Whether you beat a boss or not can all depend on how wisely and when you use the hyper mode.
Like the previous 2 games, you sometimes have to travel between areas to get a power-up. In this case, that's still true, but also has you traveling between planets! |
